Lead Dispatcher

Job Description

Manchester Trucking Transportation Operations - Dispatcher This position has responsibility for managing several aspects of the day to day logistics coordination needs of customers. This role will involve communicating with drivers, carriers, vendors, and customers to provide the most cost effective and efficient services. We will provide all required training. Responsibilities Develop and build strong working relations with drivers, customers, carriers and related parties Perform daily tasks such as tracking information, creating BOL's and follow-up on required items Make outbound phone calls and/or emails to secure loads for drivers. Have professional and courteous interaction with associates in those locations Record activities and search results in an online tracking system Understand the urgency required by the customer and apply to daily tasks Exhibit good judgment and the ability to make quick decisions in support of the workload demands Strong focus on providing exceptional customer service when dealing with vendors and customers Understanding safety requirements and DOT regulations. May set pick up and drop off appointments directly with the customer and vendors Provide other support as required to the Logistics Team Qualifications (Education/Training, Skills and Experience)
Education/Training:
College Degree preferred, but we will consider a combination of education and experience. We are willing to train the right person.
Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills Successful candidates must demonstrate the ability to produce results while working independently Strong organizational and follow-up skills Above average desktop computer skills with experience in MS Office Suite and Electronic Logging Device (ELD) Strong, professional communication and interpersonal skills Experience 1-2 years, with preferably some logistics and/or transportation industry experience 1-2 years in a business environment with customer support Experience in managing truck fleet Willing to train the right person!

$48,000.00 - $53,000.00 per year
