Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Part-Time Dispatcher / Reservationist who will also serve as a backup driver when needed. This position is vital to our daily operations and serves as the first point of contact for customers scheduling rides or requesting transit information.
Key Responsibilities:
Answer incoming calls to schedule, confirm, and cancel transit reservations Dispatch drivers efficiently while managing route adjustments in real-time Communicate effectively with drivers via radio and scheduling software Maintain accurate trip logs and input data into dispatching systems Provide excellent customer service Operate a DATA van on a fill-in basis, ensuring safe and courteous transportation of passengers Perform clerical duties as needed, including filing, record-keeping, and reporting Work independently and multitask efficiently in a fast-paced, transit environment Ensure compliance with agency policies, safety procedures, and federal/state regulations Candidates should be available to work Monday through Thursday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Friday and Saturday from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Flexible scheduling options are available.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong customer service and communication skills, especially over the phone and two-way radio Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, scheduling software, email) Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities Dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable working with minimal supervision Knowledge of the local service area is a plus
Requirements:

Work Environment:
