Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Transportation Dispatcher with cradle-to-grave dispatch experience to manage freight from initial planning through final delivery. This individual will be responsible for all aspects of dispatch operations including load planning, driver communication, customer service, track and trace, issue resolution, appointment management, and documentation. This is not an entry-level dispatch position. We are looking for someone who can independently manage freight, anticipate issues before they occur, and deliver exceptional service to both customers and drivers. Duties Coordinate and dispatch vehicles efficiently to meet customer needs while adhering to DOT regulations Dispatch and manage daily freight operations from pickup through delivery Build and maintain strong relationships with drivers and customers Monitor shipment progress and proactively communicate delays Perform continuous track and trace throughout each shipment Schedule pickup and delivery appointments Resolve service failures quickly and professionally Coordinate with customers, drivers, warehouses, and internal departments Maintain accurate information within the TMS Review PODs and shipment documentation for accuracy Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce service failures Support brokerage operations when needed Work closely with safety, billing, and customer service teams Collaborate with other departments to improve operational efficiency and resolve logistical challenges promptly Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years transportation dispatch experience Proven cradle-to-grave dispatch experience Strong knowledge of track and trace processes Excellent customer service skills Outstanding communication skills Strong organizational abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously Excellent problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail Microsoft Office Suite proficiency Experience using a Transportation Management System (TMS) Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team Preferred Qualifications Experience working for an asset-based transportation company Brokerage operations experience Trailer management experience, including trailer pools, trailer utilization, trailer tracking, detention management, and trailer control PCS TMS experience Experience with automotive logistics or dedicated fleet operations Experience with ELD, GPS, and trailer tracking technologies

$70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
