In Person Position Overview We are looking for a dependable, organized, and professional School Transportation Dispatcher to join our team. This role is essential to our daily operations. The dispatcher helps ensure students are transported safely, routes stay on schedule, and drivers have the support they need throughout the day. The ideal candidate communicates well, stays organized in a fast-paced environment, and can handle changing situations calmly and professionally. Key Responsibilities Monitor daily routes, driver departures, arrivals, and on-time performance. Communicate with drivers using two-way radio, phone, and email. Track vehicles and route progress using GPS systems. Assist drivers with delays, detours, route changes, and other daily transportation issues. Communicate professionally with school staff, drivers, and other transportation partners. Respond quickly to driver call-outs, vehicle breakdowns, emergencies, and last-minute schedule changes. Coordinate substitute and standby driver coverage when needed. Maintain accurate daily logs, incident reports, route information, and operational records. Review required driver and vehicle documentation for safety and compliance. Help identify opportunities to improve route efficiency and daily operations. Provide courteous and professional service in all interactions. Qualifications Must be at least 21 years old. High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license. Strong computer skills, including email, spreadsheets, GPS tracking systems, and dispatch software. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Professional phone and two-way radio etiquette. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in dispatch, school transportation, logistics, transportation, or customer service is preferred. Class B CDL required if serving as a backup school bus driver or driving CDL-required vehicles. Schedule This position supports our morning, midday, and afternoon school transportation operations.

AM Midday:
9:30 AM-12:30
PM Afternoon:
1:00 PM-5:00 PM The actual schedule will generally range from 30 to 40 hours per week based on school schedules and operational needs. Some flexibility may be required when additional coverage is needed.
