Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Extended Coverage Dispatcher to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will coordinate the dispatching of freight and vehicles, manage communication with drivers and clients, and ensure seamless transportation operations. Your proactive approach will help optimize routes, maintain compliance with regulations, and uphold our commitment to exceptional customer service.

Essential Functions:

Support the operations department Update operations team on changes and updates Ensure local drivers are on time for the start of their shift Plan drivers on loads and trailers Update and maintain computer Supervise driver scheduling (example: home time, shop maintenance, DOT testing) and load dispatching Facilitate and maintain a high level of productivity through the direct supervision of the dispatch team, ensuring all local loads are on time, assigned, and planned. Field shop questions and communicate unresolved issues to personnel Provide daily updates to the Director of Operations All other tasks as assigned

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or GED diploma, at least two years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. McLeod experience, preferred. Maintain highest level of confidentiality Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Must be thorough and have great organization skills Ability to work under pressure Ability to handle multi-functions Knowledge of bookkeeping and office functions Ability to work proficiently and efficiently in a timely manner Highly detail oriented

Work Environment:

Extended Coverage Supervisor duties operate in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, scanners, phones, copiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Physical Demands:

Extended Coverage Supervisor duties require the ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time. It may also require walking primarily on a level surface for certain periods of time, as well as reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to file documents.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a part-time position with the possibility of additional hours. Typical hours of work are Saturday & Sunday, 7:00a.m. to 4:30p.m. Overtime may be necessary. This schedule may change as needed.

Required Education:

High school diploma or GED diploma, at least two years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. We are willing to train the right candidate.
