Fuel Calculations:
Compute the exact fuel loads needed for the trip, accounting for taxiing, flight time, payload, and emergency or alternate airport contingencies.

Safety Monitoring:
Maintain constant contact with flights in progress, providing pilots with updated weather reports, turbulence advisories, and sudden airspace changes.

Emergency Management:
Co-manage in-flight emergencies alongside the captain, recommending alternate landing locations and coordinating with air traffic control.
•
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all flights comply with strict federal aviation regulations, company policies, and weight limits before signing the dispatch release.
Requirements
Legal & Certification Requirements

FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate:
A mandatory federal license for major commercial airlines (or the equivalent national aviation authority certificate outside the US).

Language Proficiency:
Must be fully fluent in reading, speaking, writing, and understanding English, which is the global aviation standard.
Education & Experience

High School Diploma:
The minimum academic requirement.
•
Degree Preferred:
