Job Description
Essential Functions Keep records, logs, and schedules of the calls they make and/or receive, the vehicles and staff they monitor and control, and the actions they take. Maintain information on each call and then prepare a detailed report on all activities occurring during their shifts. Ensure on time delivery of cranes and equipment to job sites. Secure permits. Ensure company drivers maintain compliance with OSHA and safety regulations. Dispatcher will also assist in other activities and duties as assigned by Manager. Skills and Experience Requirements Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Must be able to work 40 hours a week and overtime as needed. Experienced in trucking and dispatch functions is preferred. Experience with cranes or other heavy construction equipment is preferred. Knowledge of the permitting process for oversize loads and documentation is preferred. Proficient with Microsoft Office and NexGen Software Able to sit for longs periods of time. Able to use phone, computer and other office equipment. Pay is commensurate upon experience. Must Pass Drug Screening. EOE Summary In the role of Dispatcher, you will be integral to the logistics and transportation operations, reporting to the Logistics Manager. Your primary responsibility will involve analyzing freight dispatching processes and ensuring efficient communication across multiple channels. Core skills such as time management and effective phone etiquette will be essential, while your premium expertise in transportation management systems and GIS will enhance operational efficiency. Additionally, relevant skills in data entry and fleet management will support the organization's goals in optimizing supply chain performance and maintaining high standards in service delivery.
