Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Dispatcher with a strong background in the drayage industry, specifically within the New York/New Jersey port region. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing complex transportation operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of import/export containers. Candidates should have excellent communication skills, have the ability to problem solve, multi-task, and be a great team player.

Responsibilities:

Schedule appointments with terminals for container pickups Scheduling appointments/follow ups with clients Assignment of deliveries to drivers Manage constant tracking of drivers, ensuring on-time deliveries Provide excellent customer service through phone call and email communications with clients and operations teams Tracking equipment and updating in our own custom portal Tracking and tracing container shipments via terminal portal General office and other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in dispatch operations within the drayage and logistics transportation industry, with specific knowledge of the New York/New Jersey port region. Strong understanding of port operations, terminal procedures, and transportation logistics. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
