Job Overview We are seeking a dependable, motivated, and organized Material Dispatcher to oversee the daily operations of our material yard. This is a hands-on position for someone with construction experience, strong knowledge of materials, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Track and coordinate trucks entering and leaving the material yard for material purchases, deliveries, and dumping operations. Dispatch company trucks for material moves and ensure materials are transported to the appropriate locations. Monitor and maintain accurate inventory of materials throughout the yard. Keep track of material piles, stock levels, and overall yard organization. Monitor tools, equipment, and small shop supplies. Identify when materials, tools, or supplies need to be replenished and place orders as needed. Communicate and work closely with the main office to coordinate material needs, truck movements, purchasing, and daily operations. Maintain accurate records using technology and material-tracking systems. Help ensure the yard operates safely, efficiently, and in an organized manner. Operate construction equipment as needed to support yard operations. Perform other duties related to material yard management and daily operations. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in the construction industry. Strong knowledge of construction materials and material handling operations. Experience working in or managing a material yard is a plus. Ability to operate construction equipment safely and efficiently. Comfortable using computers, smartphones, and technology to track materials, inventory, and truck movements. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities. Dependable, responsible, and willing to take ownership of the position. Valid driver's license.
