The Delivery Operations Dispatcher will be responsible for planning, organizing, and optimizing the delivery process to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers. A person who sets an example for the team by wearing multiple hats and works as Operations Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, and Back-up Delivery Associate as per the business operation needs. What You'll Do:
The Operations Dispatcher coordinates daily delivery operations to support safe, reliable, and efficient route execution. This role is responsible for driver dispatch, real-time route and safety monitoring, staffing and next-day route planning, driver communications, rescue coordination, and end-of-day fleet readiness. Depending on the assigned shift, the Operations Dispatcher will perform opening, closing, or on-road support duties while maintaining accurate operational records and promptly escalating issues to Management. You can expect to work 40 - 50 hours per week. What You'll Need:
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple operational priorities in a time-sensitive environment. Clear, professional communication with drivers, Management, and operational partners. Ability to monitor delivery performance, recognize exceptions, and escalate concerns promptly. Sound judgment when coordinating staffing changes, rescue support, and driver coaching. Accurate recordkeeping and attention to detail when preparing route sheets, schedules, checklists, and coaching documentation. Ability to use or learn the operational systems required for the role including delivery management tools, scheduling tools, etc. Availability to work assigned opening or closing shifts and provide on-road support when required. Eligible to work in the U.S. Must be at least 21 years old. Must have a valid driver's license within the state of employment. Must be able to move boxes up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation. Responsibilities Coordinate morning dispatch, driver assignments, route launches, and daily operational communications. Monitor delivery progress in the Delivery System; identify delays, route barriers, and unattended breaks, and coordinate timely follow-up. Monitor Dashcam safety events, review violations with drivers, document coaching, and escalate serious concerns. Prepare and finalize next-day staffing plans, route sheets, driver assignments, and reporting times using Sling and Company scheduling tools. Coordinate with Management and operational partners on anticipated route volume, staffing shortages, and route-commitment adjustments. Develop and execute rescue plans; arrange driver assistance and provide on-road support when assigned. Monitor meal-break compliance and maintain dispatch coverage throughout the operating day. Track vehicle-monitoring issues, coordinate technical support, and escalate vehicle safety or equipment concerns. Inspect returning vehicles, complete return checklists, and report damage, fuel, cleanliness, or missing-equipment issues. Maintain accurate operational records and promptly escalate attendance, safety, delivery, and staffing concerns to Management. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
