Life:
In the position of Dispatcher, you will coordinate and manage the scheduling and provide the daily routing to the commercial driver team for efficient operations and timely responses. Document routine maintenance, driver records, recording route data, and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and enforce safe driving habits.
The Impact You'll Make:
Schedule customer delivery appointments, production shuttling, and any other moves to support the business needs. Use the proper channels for all scheduling. Support communication with all drivers throughout the day as you route them to successfully executing the routes. Communication must be performed in a manner that is not distracting to the drivers. Daily audit of drivers Hours of Service, Dash Cam Events, and Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports. Any defects must be corrected in a timely manner. Support driver needs in the event of a vehicle break down. Use of our Telematics systems to keep track of driver locations. Keep current locations saved for mapping, reporting, and routing features. Update fleet and driver information as needed. Maintain on time frequency of our equipment maintenance intervals. Usage of our providers software is highly recommended. Perform random inspections of tractor/trailers to ensure cleanliness. Communicate daily of how the routing progresses to leadership. Ask for assistance and support whenever required. All safety sensitive incidents must be reported to management and HR.
Who You Are:
Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in the field of Fleet Management, Transportation Management, Logistics, or related field of study or equivalent experience, background.
Additional Experience Desired:
Between 1-3 years of experience in dispatch or fleet management
Additional Experience Desired:
Between 1-3 years of experience in mapping tools, communication systems
Computer Skills Desired:
Microsoft Office, Teams, Excel, Telematics, Outlook, and Reporting.
