This role combines law enforcement principles, advanced communication skills, and technical proficiency to deliver swift, effective security solutions. You will lead a team of specialized police/security personnel and dispatchers, ensuring compliance with police dispatch procedures while maintaining a proactive security environment. Responsibilities Manage and coordinate security operations at your designated location, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and emergency procedures. Supervise special police/security staff and dispatchers, providing guidance on law enforcement practices and emergency response strategies. Utilize GPS and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools to monitor site conditions, track incidents, and optimize response routes. Oversee emergency communication systems including radio communication systems and computer-aided dispatch (CAD) software to facilitate rapid incident reporting and coordination. Conduct phone triage for incoming calls, assessing situations accurately and dispatching appropriate response units promptly. Implement police dispatch procedures, including data entry, incident documentation, transcription of reports, and maintaining detailed shift logs. Provide first aid and basic life support (BLS), including CPR when necessary, while coordinating with emergency medical services (EMS). Apply analysis skills to evaluate security threats or incidents, developing effective action plans swiftly. Engage in conflict management with professionalism, utilizing negotiation techniques to de-escalate tense situations. Maintain high standards of customer service through clear communication, phone etiquette, and professional interaction with staff and visitors. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, including law enforcement policies, emergency medical dispatch protocols, and security regulations. Qualifications Proven experience in EMT services or emergency medical dispatch is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of GIS mapping tools, GPS navigation systems, and computer-aided dispatch (CAD) software. Background in law enforcement or security operations with familiarity in police dispatch procedures. Certifications in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), basic life support (BLS), and emergency medical dispatch are preferred. Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—with the ability to manage multi-line phone systems effectively. Demonstrated proficiency in data entry, transcription, telephony systems, and technical tools such as radio communication systems. Ability to handle high-pressure situations with calmness and clarity; strong analysis skills for incident assessment. Experience in conflict management, negotiation techniques, and customer service excellence is essential. Strong typing skills coupled with attention to detail for accurate report writing and documentation.
