Job Summary:

The Dispatch Region Specialist is responsible for safely and efficiently routing and dispatching drivers hauling refined fuels (gasoline) for Team Logistics. This role is expected to maintain a high level of efficiency, safety and customer service. This role will be a 12 hour rotating day shift likely Thursday - Saturday, and every other Wednesday. As business needs change the schedule may change and serious candidates need to be flexible. Some on call (compensated) nights may be required. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:

Schedule and manage Team Logistics Company, LLC assets in specific markets to ensure maximum asset utilization. Effectively communicate with all employees, drivers, including contract drivers and Team Logistics Company, LLC company drivers. Update and maintain an efficient driver schedule based on customer needs. Promote safe work behavior by following and executing the safety policies of Team Logistics Company, LLC. Forecast sales increases/demands and increase driver force as needed during holiday seasons, impending inclement weather, supply disruptions, and special pricing at specific customer locations. Responsible for proficient use of PDI Telepoint. Navigate all customer and loading facility websites and complete required administrative functions. Dispatch drivers using an ELD {electronic logging device} in accordance with local, state, and Federal D.O.T. regulations. Maintain a shift log and complete an end of shift pass down, with information pertaining to any load changes, including but not limited to supplier changes, gallon/product changes, load additions/cancellations, customer call-in orders, and driver schedule changes that may effect the next shift. Serve as a primary conduit for the driver community as it pertains to daily directives, weekly scheduling, PTO and other problem-solving initiatives that alleviate hassles while also promoting a culture of teamwork. Serve as a primary conduit for the Customer's Transportation Representative(s) as it pertains to daily directives, problem solving, loading/unloading issues, supplier and terminal set-ups, and the compilation and organization of loading numbers. Assists with the training of new hires. Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience:

Required:

HS diploma or equivalent Basic computer skills (including but not limited to word processing and typing, using the internet etc.). Excellent communication and customer service. Proven experience in organizing and problem solving. Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced, constantly changing, environment.

Preferred:

1+ years of dispatch, logistics or driver experience Basic knowledge of
