Days are filled with scheduling, phone calls, emails, texts, negotiating, problem solving, and critical thinking. We service a high volume of interpreting jobs each day, so you will be busy and the day will fly by. A successful Scheduling Coordinator and Dispatcher is cool under pressure and welcomes a challenging day. If you prefer to work in a quiet and/or slower pace, this position is not the right fit. Our coordinators are a fun group because they love what they do, why they do it, and who they do it with!
Responsibilities:
Interpreter Coordination:
Manage a team of skilled interpreters, maintaining their schedules, ensuring their readiness for assignments, and supporting them throughout the process
Dispatch Excellence:
Efficiently assign interpreters to appointments based on their expertise, location, and availability while juggling time-sensitive demands
Client Communication:
Liaise with clients to understand their language service needs and ensure a smooth interpretation process, while providing exceptional customer service
Problem Solving:
Tackle logistical challenges head-on, adapting to last-minute changes and ensuring that all parties are well-informed and comfortable with the revised arrangements
Continuous Improvement:
Collaborate with internal teams to identify areas for process optimization and contribute to the enhancement of our interpreter coordination and dispatch systems Requirements Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with interpreters, clients, and internal teams. Adaptability and composure under pressure, ensuring a high level of professionalism in all situations. A passion for languages, cross-cultural understanding, and an eagerness to make a positive impact. Previous experience in interpreter coordination, dispatch, or related fields is a plus, but not mandatory for candidates with the right attitude and aptitude.
