Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Dispatcher to coordinate and manage transportation operations efficiently. In this vital role, you will oversee the scheduling and dispatching of freight, ensuring timely deliveries Your expertise in transportation planning, logistics systems, and communication will drive smooth road transportation operations and enhance customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Coordinate and schedule daily deliveries and pickups. Dispatch drivers and assign routes based on delivery requirements. Monitor driver schedules, routes, and delivery status. Communicate with drivers throughout the day regarding assignments and changes. Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure orders are ready for shipment. Track shipments and provide updates to customers and management. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and driver activity. Respond quickly to delays, scheduling changes, and transportation issues. Communicate with customers regarding delivery times and updates. Ensure drivers have the necessary information and documentation for each assignment. Monitor delivery schedules to ensure shipments arrive on time. Assist with resolving customer and driver concerns. Maintain dispatch logs, reports, and other required documentation. Work closely with warehouse and management teams to improve logistics operations. Follow company safety policies and transportation procedures. Requirements Previous logistics, dispatch, transportation, or warehouse experience preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office preferred. Ability to communicate professionally with drivers, customers, and management. Problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Reliable, dependable, and punctual.
