Now Hiring Dispatcher 3rd shift
  • 10pm
  • finish Taylor Farms Texas Job Description/Role/Responsibilities Dispatcher Job Duties and Responsibilities Will work under direct supervision of the Dispatch Supervisor & Transportation Manager.
Schedule delivery routes and make changes to routes based on appointments and revised orders. Document any company equipment issues/incidents, driver accidents and driver violations. Document and report any issues from customer/vendors and TF drivers. Keep documentation on file. Perform Temp Checks on loaded trailers every hour. Inspect and document all inbound trailers into location and update Yard Commander accordingly. Work with Shipping in providing updates on yard/shuttle driver issues, trailer requests, trailer movements, delays, reefer temps and product rejections ( rejections must include item number, quantity, reason and driver must be held at customer until clearance from Sales Team has been given. ) Work with Purchasing with scheduling pick ups and provide updates and any issues.
  • If a driver misses an appointment and is unable to pick up
  • hold driver at pick up and notify purchasing & manager via email and by phone/text immediately.
Work with Sales on customer rejections ( rejections must include item number, quantity and reason ), driver and carrier delays, delivery status updates (ETA's) and reschedules. Must be able to multi-task along with having the ability to receive and understand assignments and direction both written and oral. Education/Experience High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred. Must have 1 to 2 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Language Skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Bi-lingual a plus. Mathematical Skills
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals. Reasoning Ability

Intermediate Skills:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, stand, walk and sit. The employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Employee must submit to post offer, pre-employment drug test and employment history check. Equipment/Software Used Microsoft, Word, Excel and Outlook a plus Axapta, Yard Commander, ComData, ReeferTrak, LocusTraxx and OmniTrac Work Environment Must be willing to work in refrigerated warehouse environment
  • Cold/Wet 38°F. Must be able to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends as scheduled or needed. Must be able to be on your feet for long periods of time.
