Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Local Dispatcher to coordinate pickups and deliveries. This role is crucial in providing outstanding customer service, ensuring timely movements, and maintaining effective communication with load planners and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide exceptional customer service by answering phone calls and emails immediately, ensuring customer inquiries are addressed promptly. Coordinate local dispatch operations including pickups and deliveries. Ensure timely service and communication regarding local movements. Support load planners with yard checks and movement updates. Take full ownership of all local dispatch movements. Serve as relief support for load planners as needed. Update all platforms regarding local movements accurately. Be available for on-call support one to two days a week, including after-hours phone checks.

Requirements:

Experience:

Minimum of 1 year in the transportation industry (no exceptions).

Technical Skills:

Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word, and Google Sheets.

Availability:

Must be available to be on-call after hours one day a week and check phones after hours.
