Full Job Description Dispatcher Location:
Pharr, TX 78577 Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and organized Dispatcher to join our team in Pharr, TX. The Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling transportation routes, communicating with drivers, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and schedule daily transportation routes for drivers. Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and management to ensure smooth operations. Monitor vehicle locations and delivery status using GPS and other tracking systems. Respond promptly to any issues or delays and provide solutions to minimize disruptions. Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, driver logs, and delivery reports. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and DOT requirements. Assist in managing emergency situations and rerouting as necessary. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification is a plus. Previous experience as a dispatcher or in a similar role preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Proficient with dispatch software, GPS systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Flexible availability, including the possibility of working evenings, weekends, or holidays. Physical Requirements Ability to sit at a desk for prolonged periods of time. Ability to work on a computer and communicate by phone for extended periods. Supervisory Responsibilities None.
