Job Description

In this Dispatcher role, you will be part of a supportive team, help customers receive timely service, coordinate technicians in the field, and build practical skills in an essential, stable industry. Robison Plumbing is seeking a Dispatcher to help keep each day running smoothly. In this role, you will be the communication link between customers, field technicians, the warehouse, and customer service, using sound judgment to match the right technician to the right call at the right time. The successful candidate communicates clearly, stays organized in a fast-moving environment, and enjoys solving scheduling puzzles. This role involves constant phone use with customers and technicians, frequent multi-tasking and close teamwork to deliver a superior customer experience. What You Will Do:
Strategically dispatch technicians to service calls based on technical skills, priority, and geographic location while planning and rescheduling jobs to meet customer needs. Notify customers of expected time of arrival and any schedule changes. Maintain constant communication with technicians, parts department, and department managers. Relay detailed accurate information to technicians, ensuring prompt & quality customer experiences. Answer calls in a timely, courteous, and professional manner; establish customer rapport and encourage repeat business. Respond to customer requests, resolve issues, and keep customers informed with clear, timely updates. Enter accurate job information and details into the database, and communicate promptly with customers and technicians so field operations stay efficient. Monitor technician locations via GPS dashboard for optimal productivity. Provide consistent assignment of service calls and timely communication with technicians regarding status. Learn the business, understand service priorities, and help route the most urgent customer calls appropriately. Maintain daily schedules for the technicians. Provide accounting with pertinent billing information. Assist in fine-tuning our processes and improving the business by bringing new ideas to the table. Participate in training, allowing you to grow and develop as a professional.What We Are Looking For:
Required qualifications: Self-motivation and strong commitment to exceptional customer service by phone, while coordinating technicians through cell phone and tracking tools. Ability to build effective working relationships with teammates while following Company policies and procedures and serving the best interests of our customers. Ability to evaluate a situation and determine the appropriate level of response needed. Ability to remain calm and function appropriately during stressful situations. Ability to successfully work in a multi-tasking environment with constantly changing priorities. Strong organizational skills Must be able to spend long periods of time on the phone Authentically provide a calm and empathetic voice to customers in duress. A positive attitude and willingness to learn. Ability to follow written and verbal directions accurately. Openness to coaching, feedback and constructive direction.Preferred qualifications:
Dispatch experience Previous experience using Service Titan software and Apple phone/ipad. Knowledge of Kitsap, North Mason, and Western Pierce Counties Computer proficiency, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Excel and Word, and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
