$15 per hourDuties:
The USF department of Emergency Management (DEM) provides opportunities to federal work study students to work with DEM on the Tampa Campus. This opportunity is designed to enhance a student's experience in the emergency management field through involvement with emergency management programs and networking. Daily responsibilities relate to prevention, preparedness, mitigation, response and recovery efforts at USF. Develop/Review emergency plans/policies. Development outreach materials for emergency management preparedness and response programs and participate in educational outreach. Patriciate in meetings with representatives from the local, state, federal, non-profit, and private sector emergency management community. Develop and participate in drills and exercises to practice emergency response procedures. Research within the field of Emergency Management. Other duties as assigned. 20 hours per weekSchedule:
Flexible around class schedule within business hours of 8:00 am- 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday, with in-person, in-office attendance
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicant must be a currently enrolled USF student and have a current Federal Work Study (FWS) award for 2026-2027 to be considered for this position.
