Job Description
This position is located in the EOC of the assigned state and managed by the Region 6, Response Division. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience serving as a senior liaison and will have knowledge of both FEMA response operations and the emergency management organization and structure of the supported state; and able to work successfully in the assigned state emergency operations center facility as a member of the Response Division's FEMA Integration Team (FIT).
Qualifications:
Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The qualification requirements listed below must be met by the closing date of this announcement. To qualify for this position at the GS-13 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following:- Developing, communicating, and executing plans, policies or procedures across a diverse group of stakeholders at the Federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, non-governmental organization or private sector level ,
- Providing emergency management services in one of the following: (1) conducting emergency management operations at the Federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, non-governmental organization or private sector level, (2) performing emergency management logistics functions at the Federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, non-governmental organization or private sector level ,
- Utilizing emergency management planning and decision-making processes: (i.
