Job Overview Are you passionate about emergency management and eager to make a difference in crisis situations? Our Emergency Management internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in disaster preparedness, response, and recovery. As an intern, you will work alongside seasoned emergency management professionals, assist in developing emergency plans and incident management. This role is ideal for individuals pursuing a career in emergency services, public safety, or crisis management who want to apply their skills in a dynamic and impactful environment. Interested? What you will be doing:
Prepare and/or present written, oral, and electronic presentations to management staff. Participate in a variety of professional development activities providing practical experience in the application of academic skills toward the solution of business problems. Participate in project work assisting department professionals developing procedures, performing financial, operational, or business analysis, or developing/evaluating performance measures. May compile business or operational data; assist in forecasting activity levels; assist in developing business solutions to department or organizational problems.
What you need:
Must be an active student in a bachelor's degree program in Emergency Management, Public Administration, or related field. 18 years of age or older.
What we desire:
Current, cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher including but not limited to the following Universities (University of North Texas, University of Texas at Arlington, University of Texas at Dallas, Paul Quinn College, or University of Oklahoma) We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States.
