Job Description
Talascend is currently seeking a Facilities Manager for a contract to hire opportunity with our client in Alexander City, Alabama . Overview The facilities manager will oversee operations across multiple locations, manage vendor relationships, and ensure the proper functioning of building systems and maintenance activities. This role involves coordinating facilities projects and optimizing operational efficiencies. Responsibilities Support the senior facilities manager and account lead in implementing short- and long-term goals and projects. Develop and execute programs, processes, and procedures to reduce costs and increase productivity. Oversee reporting requirements and ensure accurate and timely record-keeping. Manage work assignments for technicians, vendors, and contractors. Lead facilities staff to deliver service levels within the prescribed budget. Assist in developing and implementing annual management plans for the buildings. Manage budgets, including capital and expense budgets, and prepare financial reports. Ensure client satisfaction by providing responsive and innovative facilities management services. Recommends capital improvements and manages monthly operating budgets and forecasts. Ensure safety and compliance adherence for all contractor activities on site. Manage contractors ensuring service delivery meets all policies and standards. Perform any other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in facilities management, with management or technical emphasis. MBA is a plus. 5+ years of industry experience in the corporate environment, third-party service provider, or consulting. Strong leadership and management skills. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to manage technical and administrative staff. Proficient in MS programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
