Full Job Description Overview:

Since our doors opened in 2019, our mission has been to help specialty dental providers grow their practices. SALT is creating a vast network of like-minded dental specialists throughout the country. At SALT, we provide comprehensive support services, allowing dental specialists to focus on delivering exceptional care. Position Summary The Manager of Facilities will be responsible for managing the lease portfolio for 200+ SALT Dental Partners practices. This person will serve as the company's primary point of contact with landlords, with a focus on lease renewal coordination, property maintenance and vendor management, facility operations. This role will also work closely with the accounting department to ensure proper financial management and budgeting of ongoing lease expenses. Some travel will be required.
Responsibilities:
Serve as primary liaison with landlords and property management across a 200+ location lease portfolio. Maintain accurate records for leases, maintenance history, warranties, and service contracts. Manage lease renewals process coordination (timelines, approvals, handoffs to real estate/lease-negotiating team). Oversee building maintenance, preventive maintenance programs, repairs, and capital maintenance projects. Manage and evaluate vendors and service contractors; negotiate SOWs and monitor performance. Develop and manage facilities budgets, monitor spend vs. budget and identify cost-saving opportunities. Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company policies. Coordinate site moves, onboarding of new locations, and close-outs for vacated properties. Respond to escalations and on-call issues per company policy (specify on-call expectations). Prepare regular reports and
KPIs:
occupancy, maintenance SLAs, asset condition, renewal timelines. Partner with internal teams (Practice Operations, Strategic Growth, Finance, HR, IT, Legal) to support operational needs.
Qualifications:
7+ years facilities management or property management experience, with experience managing multi-site portfolios (100+ leases strongly preferred). Four-year degree or comparable experience to include building lease management, building maintenance and construction. Proven track record managing landlord relationships and coordinating renewals. Experience overseeing maintenance programs, vendors, and capital projects.
Strong financial acumen:
budget management, cost tracking, vendor invoicing oversight. Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills. Ability to prioritize, manage multiple sites and respond to escalations as required. Experience in healthcare and/or retail and working with corporate real estate teams. Supervisory experience and demonstrated ability to manage vendors and/or direct reports. Ability to travel or move about within and outside serviced facilities required.
