Custodian and Facilities Assistant (Full Time)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian and Facilities Assistant to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order across four facilities: a community center, a nearby high school building, and two dormitories. The role is primarily custodial, with additional responsibility for basic building upkeep and facilities support. Candidates with stronger handyman or maintenance skills may take on additional responsibilities and qualify for higher compensation.

Work Hours:

This is a full-time position, requiring 30 to 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces in all assigned buildings. Clean and restock bathrooms, kitchens, dorm rooms, classrooms, and common areas. Remove trash and recycling and dispose of them properly. Perform minor maintenance tasks as needed, such as replacing light bulbs and handling basic upkeep. Assist with room setup, supply organization, and other facilities related tasks. Report safety hazards, maintenance issues, and inventory shortages. Assist with access and coordination for outside vendors or contractors when needed. Follow cleaning schedules and checklists across all four locations.

Qualifications:

Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred. Handyman, maintenance, or repair experience is a strong plus. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently between multiple locations. Physical stamina to perform cleaning and facilities duties for extended periods. Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy. Must have a valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.

Compensation:

Pay varies based on experience and qualifications. Higher compensation is available for candidates with stronger handyman, maintenance, or repair skills.
