Maintains a logbook with record of all significant occurrences during the shift. Responsible for the issue of change funds and control of cash. May make unscheduled cash counts. Enters records and reports on PC computer. Assures all personnel clock in and out properly. Insures th change machines have adeque change. Prior to closing building completes fire safety checks making certain th ash trays/trash receptacles are emptied and th unnecessary electrical equipment is unplugged. Secure all doors and windows, checks all locks on storerooms, cashier's office, and other spaces required to be locked. Sets security alarm system. Performs first level supervisory duties which include initied personnel actions, preparing performance appraisals, recommending hiring and disciplinary actions, directing specific tasks and job assignments, training, etc. Supports the Navy's Equal Employment Opportunity policy, and ensures compliance with fire safety, security, and other environmental issues. Maintains and enforces security for funds, supplies and equipment to preclude or minimize the potential for fraud, waste and abuse. Performs other reled or incidental duties as assigned. Position is under the supervision of the designed manager who provides instructions concerning current policies, procedures and general informion. Work is reviewed in terms of sisfaction of customers, protection of inventory and monies, ability to resolve problems, and dependability. Works under established activity opering procedures. Additional detailed instructions are provided by supervisor. Judgement is required when providing informion to customers, staff and vendors. Incumbent has the authority once fully trained to take action as warranted th does not conflict with established policies to resolve problems. Completed work is spot checked to ensure conformance with established policy. The work involves a variety of tasks necessary to opere an activity operion. Duties involved effect the effectiveness and the efficiency of the operion, thus increasing the revenue received from the services. Contacts are made with staff, active and retired military personnel and their family members, MWR personnel and vendors doing business with the facility. Contacts are for providing directions, service, and informion, resolving problems and clarifying informion. The work involves standing, walking, lifting and/or moving objects th could weigh up to 20 pounds which require assistance from others. Modere stress is common due to irregular hours, last minute changes, and providing sisfying customer service. Work may be performed inside and outside. May have exposure to minor cuts, bruises and burns. May be required to wear protective gear or clothing. Requirements Help Conditions of employment Must be 18 years of age or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verificion check. Qualificions A minimum of one (1) year experience which provides knowledge of club, restaurant, business operions, or equivalent leadership experience.
