A Military Specialist operates and maintains vehicles and mechanical equipment pertinent to mission success, whether on the sea, land or in the air. May monitor communication, detection, or weapons systems during operations. Interprets and evaluates tactical situations, making recommendations to supervisors. May operate weapons targeting, firing, and launch systems whether during combat or peacetime. In addition to their combat training, they have also specialized training in swimming, diving, parachuting, survival, emergency medicine, and foreign languages. Duties include conducting advanced reconnaissance operations and collecting intelligence information; recruiting, training, and equipping friendly forces; conducting raids and invasions on enemy territories; laying and detonating explosives for demolition targets; locating, identifying, defusing, and disposing of ordnance; and operating and maintaining sophisticated communications equipment.

Available for immediate hire Position Overview Check Defense is a fast-growing federal contractor seeking a highly capable Strike Phase Instructor who serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting Naval Special Warfare (NSW) surface mobility training programs. This position provides advanced instruction and operational expertise to Special Boat Teams (SBTs) during Strike Phase training, focusing on Visit, Board, Search, and Seizure (VBSS), Maritime Interdiction Operations (MIO), maritime insertion and extraction techniques, and Combatant Craft mission execution. The successful candidate will augment the active-duty training cadre by delivering classroom and field instruction, supporting curriculum development and training management activities, coordinating logistical requirements, and assisting with integrating emerging technologies into the Individual Deployment Training Cycle (IDTC). The instructor will play a critical role in preparing NSW personnel for operational deployments by ensuring training remains current, effective, and aligned with mission requirements. Duties and Responsibilities (VBSS/MIO) instruction to SBTs Operations conducted within the Naval Special Warfare surface mobility community. Assist with schedule development, curriculum management, and logistical planning throughout the IDTC. Assist with liaison support with NSWG4, as well as other Special Operations entities to identify and integrate emerging technologies into the

SBT IDTC.

Required Qualifications U.S. Citizen. Active SECRET Security Clearance. Must possess a minimum of five years' experience within the last ten years as a Special Warfare Combatant-craft Crewman (SWCC), with achievement of SWCC Senior qualification in accordance with

COMNAVSPECWARGRUFOURINST 3120.3E.

Applicant's SWCC Senior qualification must not have been removed for administrative or disciplinary reasons. 5 years' experience as

NAVY/NSW

Instructor. Instructors will support or augment active-duty training cadre with subject matter expertise, echelon IV level combat systems integration efforts, scheduling/planning, and classroom instruction. 2 years' experience in NSW Combatant Craft Strike Phase execution. Familiar with
