A Facilities Manager manages the facilities of a company or organization, including buildings and grounds, equipment, supplies and staff. Oversees maintenance and security of facilities; oversees renovation projects and monitors work to improve energy efficiency, productivity or employee safety. May work in manufacturing and production, or manage hotels, small apartment buildings, trailer parks or recreational facilities.
The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the facility, including supervising a comprehensive program for maintenance, repair, remodeling, and renovation for the resort casino during the assigned shift. During assigned shift, ensures all work order requests relate to mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting and other assigned areas are completed properly and timely to meet safety and service standards. Promotes and enforces safety practices and procedures within the department. Ensures effective recruitment, hiring, training, recognition, coaching, counseling, and other personnel related matters are being managed appropriately throughout the departments. Facilitates and ensures that performance reviews of all employees within department are complete on a yearly basis. Prepares reports of department progress or as required by senior management. Responsible for the security of all keys issued, key in inventory, keys destroyed, and keys turned in by other employees during assigned shift. Responds to all emergencies per established procedures, provide expertise, directs team members and resources in the event of an emergency during assigned shift. Responsible for quality consistent presentation of all products delivered to guest. Assists in training, motivating and supervises staff to ensure that employees receive adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established job requirements. Implements new or improved best practices or procedures. Maintains ongoing knowledge of all aspects of the facilities on property. Schedules of department and enforces attendance policies. Ensures that all work is done with care and no damage occurs. Performs other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
Must be 21 years or older Journeyman ship in related field; or equivalent work experience preferred. 6 years of facilities experience, with 3 years in a supervisory capacity for high volume, complex resort/casino. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong supervisory and leadership skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Working knowledge, skills and familiarity with building systems, HVAC, Plumbing, Kitchen Mechanics, etc. Is this position responsible for selling, serving, or distributing alcoholic beverages or do they have comp authority?
