Full-Time Contract Opportunity Potential for Long-Term Employment and Career Growth About the Role We are seeking a hands-on, service-oriented Facilities Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our corporate headquarters. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being active, solving problems, supporting employees, and helping maintain a professional workplace environment. The Facilities Assistant will work closely with the Facilities team to coordinate workplace services, mailroom operations, event setups, office moves, vendor visits, and general building support. What You'll Be DoingFacilities & Workplace Support

+ Assist with daily workplace operations across multiple office floors.

+ Respond to employee facility requests and help resolve general building-related issues.

+ Coordinate with building management, engineering teams, and outside vendors when repairs or maintenance are required.

+ Conduct routine inspections of office spaces and identify facility concerns.

+ Support workplace safety and ensure adherence to company and building policies. Mailroom Operations

+ Manage incoming and outgoing mail and package deliveries.

+ Communicate with employees regarding package arrivals using Microsoft Teams and Outlook.

+ Maintain organized mailroom operations supporting approximately 300 employees. Office Moves & Workplace Reconfigurations

+ Assist with employee office relocations, furniture moves, and workstation setups.

+ Support department moves by coordinating logistics between teams.

+ Assemble, disassemble, and relocate office furniture as needed. Event & Conference Support

+ Set up and break down conference rooms, town halls, meetings, and company events.

+ Arrange seating, furniture, and audiovisual equipment for events.

+ Ensure event spaces are prepared, organized, and operational. Vendor Coordination

+ Serve as an on-site point of contact for service providers, contractors, and vendors.

+ Escort and coordinate vendor visits while ensuring compliance with building requirements.

+ Help maintain professional relationships with external partners. Administrative Support

+ Utilize Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Teams to communicate updates and track requests.

+ Maintain basic spreadsheets for workspace planning, office moves, and workplace projects.

+ Assist with inventory tracking and workplace asset coordination. Qualifications

+ Associate degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience. + 2+ years of experience in facilities, workplace services, office services, mailroom operations, hospitality, property management, or related fields.

+ Strong customer service and communication skills.

+ Comfortable interacting with employees at all levels, including executives and leadership teams.

+ Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, and basic spreadsheet management.

+ Strong organization, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities.

+ Positive attitude with a willingness to take direction and assist wherever needed. Physical Requirements

+ Ability to frequently lift, move, and transport items up to 50 pounds.

+ Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and moving throughout a multi-floor office environment.

+ Ability to assist with furniture relocation, office setups, and event preparation. What We're Looking For

Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Irvine, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
