Lake Forest, CA (in-person) About the Role Run a single self-storage facility as your own — ownership of operations, sales, and tenant experience — with monthly bonus tied to results you control. Lock & Leave is a growing California-based operator hiring a Facility Manager for our Lake Forest Property. We are seeking a dependable, customer-focused Self Storage Facility Manager to oversee daily operations. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving sales, managing tenant relationships, maintaining the property, and ensuring overall performance of the site. You will take full ownership of day-to-day operations while delivering a clean, secure, and well-run facility. This role is ideal for someone who is self-motivated, organized, and confident managing both people and operations independently. What You'll Do This role combines sales leadership, operations management, and customer service. Drive rentals by converting leads into move-ins and maximizing occupancy Deliver excellent customer service in person, over the phone, and online Manage customer accounts, including payments, collections, and issue resolution Conduct property tours and ensure a professional, welcoming experience Perform daily site walkthroughs (security checks, cleanliness, safety inspections) Maintain units, office, and grounds to high operational standards Oversee daily cash handling, reconcile transactions, and complete bank deposits Monitor unit availability and manage inventory effectively Handle escalated customer situations and enforce policies when needed Coordinate light maintenance and ensure overall property upkeep Occasionally support nearby Southern California locations as needed What We're Looking For 2+ years of experience in facility management, self-storage, leasing, or similar role Strong sales ability with a track record of closing and customer conversion Experience handling collections, customer issues, and account management Confident working independently and taking full ownership of a property Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Professional, reliable, and detail-oriented Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and walk the property regularly Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors Self-storage experience is a plus, but not required. Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay + Monthly Bonus Program up to 15% of Base Salary.
