Eagle rock, CA Job Description The Facilities Coordinator oversees daily facilities operations, coordinates work orders, and leads a team of trades professionals to ensure a well-maintained and efficient campus environment. This role manages preventive maintenance activities, collaborates closely with vendors, and leverages a CMMS system to track and prioritize facilities work while delivering excellent internal customer service. Responsibilities Coordinate and manage facilities work orders from initiation through completion using a CMMS system. Lead and supervise a team of approximately 20 trades personnel in the facilities department. Organize and oversee preventive maintenance activities for building systems and equipment. Support HVAC and mechanical maintenance efforts to ensure reliable and efficient operation of campus facilities. Collaborate with vendors and service providers, including scheduling work, monitoring performance, and ensuring quality standards. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and vendor services within the CMMS. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to provide responsive and professional customer service. Assist in coordinating facility management activities across the campus to support a safe, comfortable, and functional environment. Use Microsoft Office tools to prepare reports, track metrics, and document facilities operations. Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes and workflow within the trades department. Essential Skills Proven experience coordinating facilities maintenance and work orders. Hands-on knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical building equipment. Experience planning and executing preventive maintenance programs. Proficiency with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software. Strong leadership skills with experience leading a team in a trades or facilities environment. in facility management and day-to-day building operations. Experience in vendor management, including coordination and oversight of external service providers. Solid customer service skills with the ability to respond professionally to internal stakeholders. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (such as Word, Excel, and Outlook). Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working in a campus or institutional facilities setting. Ability to prioritize multiple work orders and manage time effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with trades staff and vendors. Attention to detail in documenting maintenance activities and vendor interactions. Problem-solving skills to address facilities issues efficiently and safely. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based on a college campus and involves working on-site in and around campus buildings. Typical hours are daytime shifts, starting at either 8:00 a.m. or 9:00 a.m. and ending at 4:30 p.m. or 5:00 p.m. The environment includes interaction with trades staff, campus personnel, and vendors, with regular use of CMMS software and Microsoft Office tools to manage facilities operations. Work may take place in mechanical rooms, common areas, and office spaces, requiring appropriate attire suitable for a professional facilities and maintenance setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Los Angeles, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $39.90 - $39.90/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
