Facilities Manager Position Description:
Coordinates and performs event setup, hospitality, and light maintenance tasks with the goal of a safe, appealing, and functional place of work and study
Essential Functions Events:
Sets up tables, chairs, podiums, whiteboards, and miscellaneous audio-visual equipment for school events, including presentations, assemblies, performances, and lunches, etc. Coordinates with event stakeholders to ensure backend support is maintained throughout events. Coordinates with front-of-house to ensure events are calendared and setup needs are received in a timely manner. Serves as safety coordinator in the absence of the facilities manager. Maintains supply inventory records and requests orders as needed Performs space cleanup and equipment breakdown following events.
Facilities:
Performs basic troubleshooting and repair on simple building and classroom equipment under the direction of the facilities manager. Coordinates larger repairs by licensed contractors or other outside vendors. Maintains organization of storage, supply, and maintenance areas. Responds to emergency situations with the goal of isolating hazardous situations and minimizing personal injury. Relocates furniture and other large equipment. Performs other tasks as directed by the facilities manager. Be available requires some evening hours and occasional weekends Flexible work schedule Potential for growth in the Facilities Management field Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or previous comparable experience is preferred Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in an educational environment Good computer/office/phone skills highly desirable Ability to operate custodial and maintenance tools Ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment Basic knowledge of workplace safety and the ability to employ safety protocols and equipment Good observational skills Ability to read warranty, safety, and instructional documentation and follow recommended or protocols First Aid/CPR certification desirable Reliability, integrity, and honesty Ability to pass a DOJ background check Physical Requirements and Work Environment Routinely stoop, kneel, climb, crawl, and crouch while lifting, pulling, or carrying objects weighing 20 to 50 pounds Occasionally lift, push, or maneuver large and heavy items up to 100 pounds using safe handling methods and with trained assistance Routinely work in proximity to strong odors, fumes, dust, moisture, loud noises, machinery vibrations, high/low temperatures, hazardous chemicals, and other hazardous material (there is potential for exposure to pathogens and/or bodily fluid hazards) Frequently works outdoors in cold/windy/foggy/rainy conditions To apply, visit: https://www.paycomonline.net/v4/ats/web.php/portal/E3043B4953861931A4BE2C84F700803F/jobs/100150 je-99b5f451de24471dabde79b477d87d62
