This role serves as the subject matter expert on Environment of Care (EOC), Life Safety (LS), emergency preparedness, and facility-related compliance across all hospital, outpatient, and medical office locations. The position also includes oversight of Los Angeles City LAFD Regulation 4 testing and certifications. SPECIFIC SKILLS NEEDED

Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills. Ability to build effective relationships across departments and with regulatory agencies. Strong organizational and analytical abilities in a dynamic healthcare environment. Extensive knowledge of NFPA codes, California Fire & Building Codes, CMS, CDPH, CAL-OSHA, HCAI, and

CIHQ/TJC

standards. Strong working knowledge of LAFD Regulation 4 processes, requirements, and documentation.

Required Experience Required:

Minimum 2 years in a hospital/healthcare environment

Preferred:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, Architecture, Fire Protection Engineering, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. Ten (10) years of experience in California hospital-based EOC and Life Safety compliance. Experience representing healthcare organizations during regulatory surveys (CMS, CDPH, State Fire Marshal, OSHA, CIHQ/TJC, Board of Pharmacy, LAFD/Reg 4). Certifications such as CHFM, CHSP, or CFPS.
