Job Description
Position Summary The Town of Breckenridge Public Works Department, Facilities Division is seeking a dedicated and uniquely qualified individual for the position of Facilities Operator . The incumbent will report to the Facilities Manager, Assistant Manager, and Supervisor and will operate various types of building systems, machinery, and tools in a safe, efficient manner to maintain, analyze, repair, and perform improvements to Town buildings and facilities. Facilities Operators perform inspections and monitor operation systems in Town buildings and facilities to include Town Hall, the Breckenridge Recreation Center, the Breckenridge Golf Club, the Police Department, the Stephen C. West Ice Arena, and all other Town-owned facilities. This role performs mechanical and construction projects, and assists with the creation, organization, and upkeep of Preventative Maintenance schedules. MINIMUM & DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Must be 18 years of age or older. High School Diploma or GED required. A minimum of three (3) years' experience in facilities maintenance or a related construction field such as carpentry, HVAC, boilers, electrical, plumbing, and building control systems required. Must be able to work a four or five day work week of 40 hours (including weekends) and be part of an on-call rotation. Experience in electrical systems and/or building control systems with trade skills such as plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, pool mechanical systems, masonry, roofing, drywall, blueprint reading, painting, janitorial procedures, security and fire protection systems, OSHA, CIRSA, and HAZMAT safety procedures highly desired.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES REQUIRED
Valid Driver's License with acceptable MVR required.
Additional Information Hiring Pay Range:
$30.50
•$36.25 per hour, $63,440.00
•$75,395.00 if annualized.
Full Pay Range:
$30.50
•$42.00 per hour, $63,440.00
•$87,350.00 if annualized.
WORK SCHEDULE
Must be able to work a 40 hour week consisting of four (4) 10-hour shifts and participate in an on-call rotation. The incumbent must be flexible in terms of availability, and may be required to work evenings, weekends and Holidays, as needed at the discretion of management.
