This role will be responsible for monitoring the facility and scheduled spaces during assigned hours to ensure established rules are followed and a safe, secure, clean, and welcoming environment is maintained. Key duties include greeting and assisting renters upon arrival, checking in during scheduled use, interacting professionally with visitors and instructors, and helping guests locate programs and rooms. Additionally, the coordinator opens and closes the Community Center for scheduled activities, locks and unlocks exterior doors and designated interior areas, and arms or disarms the building alarm system according to established procedures. Responsibilities also involve conducting routine walkthroughs to report safety, security, maintenance, or other facility concerns, as well as managing room setups and breakdowns by arranging tables, chairs, and necessary equipment.
Examples of Specific Duties:
Monitor the facility and scheduled spaces during assigned hours to ensure established rules are followed and a safe, secure, clean, and welcoming environment is maintained. Greet and assist renters upon arrival, check in with them during their scheduled use, interact professionally with all visitors and instructors, and assist guests with locating programs and rooms throughout the Community Center Open and close the Community Center for scheduled programs, activities, meetings, and rentals. Arm and disarm the building alarm system in accordance with established procedures.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in customer service, recreation, facility operations, events, or a related field preferred. Previous experience working in a public facility or community/recreation setting is desirable. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and other after-hours shifts as scheduled Miscellaneous Information This role requires up to 19.5 hours per week. Work shifts fall between Monday and Friday, 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM. Additional weekend shifts will fluctuate based on scheduled programming. There will be multiple facility coordinators for the building.
