Englewood Methodist Church is seeking a Facilities Support Assistant to support the daily operation, ministry and event readiness, and overall functionality of our church campus. This hands-on role plays an important part in ensuring that our facilities are safe, organized, and ready to support ministry activities. Position Summary The Facilities Support Assistant supports daily campus operations through a combination of facility operations, event support, and custodial responsibilities . This role works under the Director of Facilities and helps ensure that facilities are consistently prepared for use for both routine operations and event-driven needs. Key Responsibilities Set up and break down rooms for services, meetings, and events Move furniture, equipment, and partitions as needed Ensure spaces are prepared, reset, and ready for use Support facility use by ministries and outside groups Assist with general campus operations, support, and daily readiness Conduct building security procedures including locking doors and monitoring access Identify and report safety hazards or facility concerns Assist with event setup, cleanup, and ministry support Maintain cleanliness of buildings and common areas as needed Monitor and restock custodial and facility supplies Assist with storm preparation, cleanup, and emergency response efforts Qualifications Experience in facilities support, custodial work, or related field preferred Flexibility, responsiveness, and strong attention to detail Ability to safely operate tools, equipment, and cleaning supplies Strong work ethic with ability to work independently and collaboratively Ability to meet physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, stooping, climbing, and working indoors and outdoors under varying conditions Character Expectations Faithful follower of Jesus Christ with a growing, active faith and a heart for ministry support Positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to serve others Reliable, dependable, and responsive Demonstrates integrity and professionalism Supports the mission and values of Englewood Methodist Church Additional Information Full-time position Flexible schedule required, including evenings and weekends Physically active role (lifting, bending, standing, and outdoor work) Participation in the life of the church is encouraged To apply, please submit your resume and a brief statement of interest to: Greg@englewoodmethodist.com
