Monday through Friday, with leadership on-call responsibilities Lead Nursing Operations at a Skilled Nursing Facility A skilled nursing facility in North Miami, Florida is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to lead its clinical team and oversee nursing operations. This role is designed for a hands-on nursing leader who understands skilled nursing, builds accountable teams, and knows how to maintain strong clinical and operational standards. The Director of Nursing will work closely with facility leadership, department heads, residents, families, and staff to support consistent care and a positive workplace culture. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee daily nursing department operations Recruit, train, coach, and retain nursing staff Maintain appropriate staffing levels and nursing coverage Monitor resident care, documentation, assessments, and care plans Support compliance with federal, state, and facility requirements Prepare the nursing department for surveys and regulatory reviews Review clinical outcomes, incidents, infections, rehospitalizations, and quality measures Develop and implement corrective action plans when needed Collaborate with physicians, pharmacy partners, rehabilitation teams, and other departments Address resident and family concerns professionally and promptly Manage nursing department policies, procedures, budgets, and performance expectations Promote accountability, teamwork, and consistent communication across all shifts Qualifications Active Florida Registered Nurse license in good standing Previous Director of Nursing experience Skilled nursing facility or long-term care experience required Strong knowledge of clinical documentation, care planning, staffing, infection prevention, and survey preparation Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and hold teams accountable Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred but not required What We Offer Competitive salary Performance-based bonus opportunity Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Professional development opportunities Supportive facility leadership Opportunity to make a direct impact on resident care and staff performance Apply Today Qualified nursing leaders interested in joining a skilled nursing facility in North Miami are encouraged to apply with an updated resume.
