Job Description

Life Care Centers is seeking a Unit Manager to oversee daily clinical operations within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will lead and mentor nursing staff, coordinate patient care plans, and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support optimal clinical outcomes and a patient-first experience. Responsibilities Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of a nursing unit within Life Care Centers, ensuring safe, high-quality care for senior and rehabilitation patients. Supervise, mentor, and schedule nursing and support staff, fostering a collaborative, patient-first, family-focused culture. Oversee individualized care plans, ensuring accurate assessments, timely interventions, and appropriate documentation in accordance with regulatory and facility standards. Coordinate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes and care transitions. Monitor clinical quality metrics, implement quality improvement initiatives, and support best practices in senior care and rehabilitation. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal policies, including infection control and safety protocols. Engage with residents and families to address concerns, communicate care goals, and promote satisfaction with services. Manage unit resources effectively, including supplies, staffing levels, and utilization, while supporting budgetary goals. Participate in staff onboarding, ongoing training, performance evaluations, and coaching to support professional growth and high performance. Support survey readiness and actively participate in inspections, audits, and corrective action planning as needed.
