Job Description
Position Summary:
The Facilities Associate, 1st Shift position is responsible for maintenance work in offices, warehouses, industrial areas, and other building interiors and exteriors. This position will ensure that Porter Pipe & Supply remains clean, functional, and safe for all staff and visitors. The Facilities Associate, 1st Shift, provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers and demonstrates strict confidentiality with all team members while serving as an ambassador of our culture.Essential Functions:
Provide general and detailed maintenance (either with direct or indirect supervision), including patching, painting, hardware repairs, and other repair/replacement work as required. Specific functions include, but are not limited to, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, wiping, washing, polishing, and dusting floors, carpet, walls, windows, and doors; trash and recycling removal; cleaning restrooms; stairwells, offices, and other areas as required. Perform routine facility and equipment maintenance. Complete all documentation for work performed in a timely manner. Oversee and execute the duties associated with events, including executing the set-up plan in a timely manner, break-downs are completed on schedule with spaces returned to normal. Adhere to all company safety rules, standards, and guidelines. Perform other duties as assignedRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to use basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, and custodial hand and electric-powered tools. Follow oral and written instructions; maintain cooperative working relationships; demonstrate sensitivity and respect for a diverse population. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently. Able to communicate in English with regard to the essential functions of the position.Required Experience and Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.Physical Demands:
Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods. Must be able to lift, carry, push or pull objects up to 50 pounds. Requires visual, hearing and speech acuity. Exposure to extreme temperatures and elements, noise, and fumes. Ability to use hands to operate office equipment.Disclaimer:
