2nd Shift Overview Join a well-established manufacturer of soap and personal care products as a Maintenance Supervisor responsible for overseeing daily maintenance operations in a highly automated production facility. The ideal candidate will lead by example and prioritize building strong relationships with their team. Key Responsibilities Manage and develop a team of 16 mechanics and electricians through training and engagement Lead troubleshooting efforts for electrical and mechanical issues to ensure production continuity Handle workforce planning tasks such as scheduling, hiring, and ongoing staff development Enforce safety standards and promote a culture of safety within the maintenance team Collaborate with other departments on capital improvement projects Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing maintenance
Preferred:
Degree or technical certification; Relevant experience accepted in lieu of formal education Hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical systems troubleshooting Proven track record in team development and performance improvement Proficient in reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics Effective communicator with the ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams Experience in union manufacturing environment is a plus Previous experience in high-speed packaging, CPG, food, or personal care products manufacturing is advantageous Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting is a bonus
