Steak 'n Shake is seeking a Regional Facilities Manager to oversee restaurant facilities and maintenance across a multi-state region. This role is responsible for keeping restaurants safe, operational, clean, and well-maintained while managing vendors, repairs, preventative maintenance, and facility projects. The ideal candidate is a hands-on facilities professional who understands multi-unit restaurant operations, moves quickly, and takes ownership of getting problems solved. Key Responsibilities Oversee facility maintenance and repairs across a multi-state restaurant portfolio. Manage preventative maintenance programs and ensure timely completion. Coordinate HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, roofing, equipment, and general building repairs. Manage contractors and service vendors, including pricing, quality, response time, and performance. Respond to urgent and emergency maintenance issues and minimize restaurant downtime. Conduct regular restaurant visits to identify facility needs, safety concerns, and opportunities for improvement. Support remodels, renovations, equipment replacements, and other capital projects. Partner with Operations, General Managers, Area Managers, Construction, Finance, and other departments. Manage maintenance expenses, review estimates, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Ensure facilities meet company standards and applicable safety, health, fire, and building requirements. Track work orders, recurring issues, preventative maintenance, and vendor performance. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in facilities, maintenance, construction, or building management. Multi-unit restaurant or retail facilities experience strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and building systems. Experience managing contractors, vendors, maintenance programs, and budgets. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities across a large geographic territory. Hands-on, highly accountable, and comfortable working directly with restaurant operators. Willingness to travel extensively throughout the territory. Valid driver's license required.
