The ideal candidate will have experience in property or construction management, supervision of employees, and experience in facilities maintenance in a school or related setting. Chief Financial Officer Job Goal:
To maintain the physical school plant in a condition of operating excellence, cleanliness and safety, so that optimal educational use of it may be made at tall times in support of the school's educational programs.
Responsibilities:
Establishes and administers schedules and procures for the regular, ongoing custodial and maintenance care of all school facilities. Examines school buildings on a regular basis for needed repairs and maintenance, documents needs and sets capital plan budget priorities. Establishes an on-going 3-year deferred maintenance plan. Estimates cost of repair projects in terms of labor and materials. Assigns and supervises crews for maintenance work, including snow removal. Orders materials, equipment and custodial supplies as needed. Consults with building principals regarding the establishment of regular preventative maintenance programs. Has thorough knowledge of operation and maintenance of all school heating and cooling systems. Maintains safety standards in conformance with state and insurance regulations and works cooperatively with the safety committee to develop a program of preventative safety. Complies with all state laws and regulations, submits all reports and maintains records as required by the state. Recruits, trains and supervises all facilities management personnel. Makes recommendations to the Chief Financial Officer with respect to the annual facilities management budget. Demonstrates safe work habits, including the proper care, use and safety of all hazardous materials, chemicals and equipment. Possesses the ability to work with minimal supervision. Fulfils responsibilities for the cleaning and care of the interior and exterior of the facilities. Reports any safety concerns or faulty equipment when necessary to the Chief Financial Officer in writing Performs other duties as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer or Executive Director.
