Job Description
A facility handyman maintains, repairs, and improves building systems and structures, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry, to ensure safe and efficient operations. They handle routine maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs while managing facility supplies and responding to maintenance requests.
Maintenance & Repair:
Repair, paint, and maintain floors, walls, ceilings, doors, and windows.Systems Maintenance:
Perform minor electrical repairs, plumbing repairs, and maintain HVAC systems (e.g., changing filters, monitoring functionality).Preventive Inspections:
Conduct regular inspections of premises to identify and address issues early.General Facility Support:
Perform janitorial tasks, trash removal, furniture assembly, and exterior maintenance.Tool Management:
Properly use and maintain various hand and power tools, ensuring A facility handyman maintains, repairs, and improves building systems and structures, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry, to ensure safe and efficient operations. They handle routine maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs while managing facility supplies and responding to maintenance requests.Qualifications & Skills Experience:
Usually 2+ years of experience in maintenance, repairs, or a similar role.Technical Skills:
Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.Physical Ability:
Ability to work with tools, lift heavy equipment, and work in various conditions (e.g., cold/hot weather).Soft Skills:
Good communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail.Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. Common Tasks Fixing light fixtures and replacing bulbs. Repairing leaks and cleaning clogged pipes. Painting interior and exterior spaces.Pay:
