POSITION OVERVIEW

Responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks. Performance of building maintenance tasks in one or more fields (e.g. carpentry; electrical; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); plumbing, etc.); Perform other tasks as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Inspects buildings and grounds to determine needed repairs, noting property conditions Performs minor electrical maintenance to include but not be limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g. wall switches and outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords, etc.) using appropriate hand, power and specialty tools. Performs minor plumbing maintenance (e.g. replacement or repair of Sloan valves, leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, etc.). Performs minor painting, and carpentry, maintenance and repair on doors and hardware. Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 3 years' experience Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

Ability to drive to and perform maintenance requests at multiple properties Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Team-player, must be customer-service oriented. Ability to troubleshoot, evaluate objectively, fairly, and consistently. Ability to understand and follow directions as given. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to read/understand blueprints.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Travel Vision:

must be able to read reports, use computer, and discern colors. Ability to lift minimum 50 pounds. Ability to climb stairs and ladders. Bending at the waist, stooping, kneeling, pulling, pushing, standing and walking.

Pay:

$50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
