A Facilities Manager manages the facilities of a company or organization, including buildings and grounds, equipment, supplies and staff. Oversees maintenance and security of facilities; oversees renovation projects and monitors work to improve energy efficiency, productivity or employee safety. May work in manufacturing and production, or manage hotels, small apartment buildings, trailer parks or recreational facilities.

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, FM BUDGET AND ACCOUNTING
Facilities Management Full Time The principal purpose of this position is to provide leadership and management for the department's budgeting and accounting functions. Using analytical and forecasting principles, the successful candidate will this position shall assist the Director of Facilities Management in the coordination, planning, and developing of departmental budgets. This position will also be responsible for managing all phases of contract preparation, coordinating with vendors and contractors, and maintaining accurate records and supporting documentation. Primary Responsibilities Provide administrative leadership and direction, with regards to the budget, for all functions within the Facilities Management department Monitor, analyze, and forecast budget needs for Maintenance and Repair, Operations and new facilities Prepare data for the annual operating budget request Complete fiscal year end reporting Assist the Director of Facilities in prioritizing the financial needs of the department and the campus due to limited resources Provide financial and physical plant data to the State University Administration and other external parties as required Project, monitor, and allocate all utility cost data, including the analysis of historical data, reallocate utility expenses based on usage reports and maintaining knowledge of future changes Coordinate all phases of contract preparation and administration along with all steps for bidding, quotes, payment processes, request for proposal and request for information Maintain accurate project contract records and documentation Support the administrative processes related to payroll, accounting, budgeting, construction and renovation, information technology, and operations Supervise office staff Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to after-hours, weekend and emergency situations Bachelor's degree Demonstrated experience in budget management Demonstrated experience in personnel supervision Demonstrated experience in system analysis and development Demonstrated experience in multiple external funding sources Proficiency and understanding of computers, concepts of database management, information systems administration, database queries and spreadsheets. Experience with computerized work order management software (TMA or Similar) is a plus Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational and analytical skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Ability to work after-hours and weekends, as needed Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service
