These include planning and construction, facilities, public safety and emergency operations, environmental health and safety, transportation, housing, and auxiliary/retail operations. Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Facilities Manager for the Division of Institutional Planning & Operations (IP&O). Under the direction of the Campus Manager, ensures the safe, efficient and effective operation and maintenance of all physical systems and real property at the ICPH/RBL or other NJMS Laboratory facilities. Among the key duties of this position are the following: Assists the Campus Manager in the development and implementation of departmental goals, operating objectives and protocols, and adds value to all Physical Plant provided services. Interacts with the NJMS Director of Facilities for coordination of user needs in the RBL, ICPH and other NJMS Laboratory facilities. The Facility Manager will be responsible for developing and managing the overall maintenance of the HVAC/Mechanical and Electrical Systems, as well as all other facility related systems throughout related facilities. Develops test protocols, monitors required periodic inspections and required reports and provides oversight of staff Engineers of the

facilities.

ABP Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline, plus five (5) years of progressively more responsible experience in plant operations, maintenance and/or construction with particular experience in a biocontainment or pharmaceutical laboratory, or similar environment. At least five (5) years in a managerial capacity within a Healthcare, Research, and/or Higher Education Facility. Equivalent experience, education and/or training may be substituted for the education requirements. Certifications/Licenses Valid Driver's license.
