Mary Magdalene Church is seeking a dependable, hands-on Facilities & Grounds Manager to help care for our church building and property and keep them safe, welcoming, and ready for worship, ministry, meetings, and community events. About the Position This is a varied, hands-on role for someone who takes pride in caring for a property, notices what needs attention, and is comfortable taking initiative. Responsibilities include routine building maintenance, minor repairs, grounds and seasonal care, event setup, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment. Some church services and events take place outside regular business hours, so flexibility is important. Key Responsibilities Building & Facility Care Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs. Monitor HVAC, fire, security, and elevator systems and report concerns. Ensure the building is ready for Sunday worship and special events. Open and secure the building for services, meetings, and events. Coordinate with contractors when specialized repairs are needed. Events & Church Activities Set up and take down tables, chairs, and equipment. Prepare Fellowship Hall and other spaces before and after events. Assist with weddings, funerals, concerts, Christmas and Easter services, and other special events. Help with seasonal decorations and storage. Grounds & Seasonal Care Maintain lawns, gardens, shrubs, and landscaping. Remove snow and ice from sidewalks, stairs, and entrances as needed. Maintain lawn and snow-removal equipment. Keep the property clean and free of litter and debris. Manage trash and recycling and monitor supplies and equipment. Safety & Stewardship Conduct routine safety checks and report maintenance or security concerns. Help ensure the property meets applicable safety, fire, and accessibility requirements. Maintain basic records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections. Assist with required inspections and regulatory needs. We're Looking For Someone Who Is Dependable, conscientious, and attentive to detail Comfortable working independently and taking initiative Skilled in basic maintenance and repair Able to communicate effectively and work well with others Comfortable lifting 30-50 pounds, climbing ladders, and performing physical tasks Willing to work outdoors and respond to seasonal needs Flexible when church activities require work outside regular hours Experienced in custodial, facilities, groundskeeping, maintenance, or a related field Previous custodial, facilities, groundskeeping, maintenance, or related experience or training is required. Pay:

$17.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 12.0 per week
