Full Job Description Position Overview:
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all maintenance and repair activities across multiple restaurant locations. This position ensures that facilities, equipment, and building systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable health, safety, and building regulations. The role requires strong technical expertise, effective time management, and the ability to respond promptly to maintenance needs.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage preventive and reactive maintenance for multiple restaurant locations. Perform or supervise repairs involving HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, electrical systems, and commercial kitchen equipment. Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules. Coordinate and oversee third party service vendors and contractors. Respond to emergency maintenance issues as needed. Ensure compliance with local building, health, and safety codes. Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and invoices. Provide basic maintenance training and guidance to on-site managers.
Qualifications and Skills:
5+ years of maintenance experience in restaurants, hospitality, or retail. Demonstrated expertise in HVAC, plumbing, and commercial refrigeration. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel between multiple locations. EPA 608 Certification, HVAC training or certification and refrigeration certification, preferred. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Excellent organizational skills to effectively prioritize maintenance activities within established deadlines. Skill in communicating clearly and professionally. Skill in managing maintenance operations, projects, and priorities across multiple facilities while exercising sound judgment and requiring minimal oversight. Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional nights, weekends, and holidays.
