POSITION
Reporting to the Building and Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse and Facilities Associate will provide support in the areas of greatest need to the Operations and Warehouse department, focusing on incoming supplies and building maintenance. They will actively work alongside the Warehouse and Environmental Services Associate and The Building and Facility Manager determining which areas of the warehouse operations are experiencing backlog and developing an action plan to clear the operations workflow.

Warehouse Duties:
Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment to move supplies throughout the warehouse. (electric and manual pallet jacks available) Utilize the tow motor for movement of pallets throughout the racking in the warehouse. Tow motor training will be provided. Examine and pre-sort pallets entering the warehouse and processing supplies properly (i.e. kits, bulk, to be sorted, etc.) Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in the warehouse and other storage areas. Clean (sweep) and maintain storage areas. Make cardboard bales, as needed. Unload the truck from pickups or deliveries, following the MedWish MedWorks receiving process. MedWish MedWorks Facility Be the onsite contact for the MedWish MedWorks facility including all repairs, cleaning, maintenance, facility access, pest control, purchasing needed cleaning and maintenance supplies, and overall building needs. Maintain overall appearance and physical order of the warehouse and MedWish MedWorks property. Be the main contact for online maintenance appointments and repairs. Collect trash from Fine Sort, including breakroom and bathroom trash Bring water jug to second floor Empty Donation Cart Cover Doorbird when assigned As needed - Prep 30 yard for trash pick up
Supply Distribution:
Collaborate with the Humanitarian Aid Program Coordinators to assist with the needs of outbound shipments. Assist with container loading and outbound shipping preparations. Ensure adequate and organized space is designated for shipment preparations. As needed, accurately pull and scan inventory for shipments according to the prepared picklist.
Volunteers:
Collaborate with Volunteer Coordinator to assist with volunteer groups. Serve as the primary warehouse contact to assist with gross sort volunteer groups. (Moving pallets, removing trash, etc.)
Inventory:
After a quality control check, enter inventory assets into the inventory system on received manufacturer bulk box pallets and durable medical equipment. Remove warehouse inventory assets from the system and the physical inventory area when needed for shipments or when expired. Physically store and move inventory in designated inventory areas.
Other Duties:
Assist with mission critical projects such as mandatory clinics, special events, the annual inventory audit, and other organizational needs. Assist with volunteer sorting. Maintain a clean warehouse and assist with facility maintenance and cleaning needs as requested. Exhibit conduct that reflects MedWish MedWorks' core values. Conduct the monthly Safety Audit at least once per year. Follow MedWish MedWorks' health and safety protocols and standards, and promote a safe and productive work environment for all staff, volunteers, and visitors. Collect and dispose of trash according to MedWish's processes. Maintain trash and scrap log.
QUALIFICATIONS
Some warehouse experience is preferred. Must pass a background check and drug screen. Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office applications. Must be a strong team player. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to operate material handling equipment (i.e. pallet jack, hand trucks, etc.). Is adaptable; willingness and ability to adjust to changing conditions or priorities.
