Giant Eagle is seeking a Maintenance Specialist to support safe, reliable operations across our retail locations. In this role, you'll perform routine facility inspections, preventative maintenance, and basic repairs on store equipment, fixtures, and building systems. You will respond to work orders, troubleshoot issues, coordinate with vendors, and ensure compliance with safety standards. Working closely with store and facilities teams, you'll help create clean, well-maintained environments that reflect our commitment to customer service and community. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on store facilities and equipment Respond to maintenance work orders and troubleshoot issues promptly Complete basic repairs in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas in compliance with safety standards Coordinate with external vendors and contractors when specialized services are required Document maintenance activities and update work order systems accurately Support store teams during facility emergencies or equipment outages Identify opportunities to improve reliability and reduce downtime of equipment Follow all Giant Eagle safety, compliance, and operational procedures Collaborate with facilities and store leadership to prioritize maintenance needs Required Skills Facility maintenance Basic HVAC troubleshooting Electrical and lighting repair Plumbing repair Preventive maintenance scheduling Safety and OSHA awareness Work order management Vendor coordination Use of hand and power tools Reading technical manuals/schematics
